I wanted to draw something that represented how the elective managed to make me feel calmer about becoming a doctor, and the image my mind conjured was of someone lying in a field on a sunny day. This piece is on canvas, which was new for me – kind of like how this elective was a different experience! I didn’t want to make it a self-portrait, so I drew Prof. Chew
