I do not consider myself a creative person outside of maybe being able to write something half-decent, though I have always enjoyed painting. For this piece I let my mind wander freely and I chose bright colours and small brushstrokes to demonstrate how even small efforts can culminate in something much bigger and very different to the sum of it’s parts.  This is a theme we touch on frequently in our medical training, for example in the importance of working as part of a team, or in making the most of our skills and capabilities.
